Emily Lloyd, the new Commissioner for the NYC DEP, is looking for ways for her agency to incorporate more innovative approaches to addressing the city's CSO and street flooding issues, and has invited me to meet with her and her senior team to explore opportunities for Street Creeks to help.  I met her in July when I moderated a panel at the NY Conference on Water that she was on, and we had a very productive conversation.  The DEP would be a key ally in implementing Street Creeks on a large scale in NYC, so I am hopeful we can get Street Creeks incorporated as a serious component of the city's storm water management toolkit.  Our meeting is on September 18.  I'll send an update after.
